This is a very nice campground. My only complaint would be that it is very hard to get sites on the weekends. Be sure and reserve early.

Can't wait to come back here. Good sites, hit showers, and real toilets. But alcohol is not allowed. Bring your bikes, easy access to Neil Smith trail.

Awesome Campground in a beautiful area of Des Moines. This looked like a relatively wealthy suburb with nice houses all around. Walkable access to the lake. About 15-20 minutes away from the City Center of Des Moines but the Farmers Market on Saturday's is an absolutely MUST stop. We really enjoyed our stay, just wish it was longer.Pro's:1) Beautiful location right on the lake.2) Long concrete pads that had no problem fitting our 43' TH.3) Small jungle gym for our kids to play on. 4) Walking distance to the lake beach.5) Easy to navigate roads6) Awesome and easily accessible fishing areas around.Con's:1) Electric only, although they had water throughout the park and a dump station up and the front.2) Trash dumpsters were VERY far away. Had to truck our trash out to the dumpster.3) Ants ... Ants, and more ants. Keep anything food related away from the outside of the rig and keep your fingers crossed they don't find the a path to the inside.4) Power went out in the middle of the night when it was ranging near 100 degree's on the high for the day. It turned back on within minutes, but just a heads up on the power grid of the campground.5) Pad is concrete (Awesome) but is far from level. Not sure I saw a level site in the entire CG.Even with the con's, its hard to beat $22/night. We'd stay here again in a heart beat. 3-4 days seems to be ideal.

We stayed on a loop with 3 other rv's, and it was a blast. There is a covered gazebo in the center with tables. 120 v outlets on the posts for plugging in cook stuff, fans, etc. Park on cement or asphalt with grass surrounding gazebo. Bathrooms are clean if you need them, and water hydrant for filling rv tanks. Great bicycle and walking trails. No sewer on sites and we only had 30amp supply, but that shouldn't shy you away. Great for family get togethers or friends party.

We love the Coneflower loop. Nice wide lots, concrete slabs. Nice restrooms. One of my favorite amenities is the dog stations with new poop bags & garbage Cans to put used ones.

Most of the people I encountered were in need of training on how to treat the public. Curt, surly, and not a clue what hospitality means. I was there 6 days and after the first night, I only went back inside the place once; wearing a bathing suit and flip flops and carrying my key card, I went to the desk to get a wristband for pool access. The guy at the desk, challenged me, " Are you staying here?" So I told him, "No, I just walked in of the street to use your pool!" Seeing the look on his face, I said I was at the RV Park. At the pool a guy was picking up all the wet towels. I asked him if I could get a fresh one.... as he disappeared, he said over his shoulder, you have to go to the front desk for that....I could go on... in short... never again

Wow, I’m not sure where to begin. Check in was easy but then you have to leave the Casino to drive out to where the RV park is located, not so bad but I have no idea why they didn’t connect the parking lots. The casino is nice in appearance, but they charge an arm and a leg for drinks, $13 for a rancid wine and a coors light WHILE you’re pouring money into their machines?!?! That’s bizarre, I’ve never paid for drink while gambling $1+ per bet. There was a band trying to play music but the PA music was so loud you could distinguish between the two… awkward and noise pollution. The buffet was good, I’ll give them that, I had prime rib since it was Saturday. And last but not least, the smell, the gambling area was a mix of smoke and then something that smelled akin to a loose fitting black water hose at an RV park.I’m new to Iowa but having lived in Vegas and Reno for nearly 20 years, this was a serious disappointment. I suspect their success is based on the Golf and there’s probably not a lot of casino competition in western Iowa. Sorry, tough love, but It needs some fine tuning.I forgot to mention the Rv Park… decent, quiet and great hookups and convenient to the golf course. We got to see their 11th anniversary fireworks show and it was very well done, great show!

The RV park was next to the driving range. Our site in Iowa had a great view of the golf course and the cornfields across the road in South Dakota. Maximum five day stay so rigs were in and out everyday of our five day stay.

We pulled in at 11pm and left by 9am, campground was flat, easy pull thru spots, nice playground and immaculate bathroom facilities! Would recommend for longer stay or just a stop over. My only issue was that the moment we pulled in they were at our campsite asking for money (when we called they said to park and set up and come pay them) it was pouring and I was just trying to level the camper so the kids could get out of the rain and car, but had to stop and write a check!
