Nice location by the Chena River. Full hook up. Clean restrooms. A bit far from Downtown and you can hear the airplanes at night.

Partial shade at sites. Not large, but not packed like some parks. Many of the pull-thru site are too short to stay connected even with our shorter 30 foot RV. Large light laundry. River walk runs along the back of the park.

Stayed here 3 years ago going in and out of AK, loved it so much, stayed here again going in and out. Quiet, clean and neat. Great laundry facility. So cool to be able to kayak the river from the campground in the evenings. I HIGHLY recommend this campground and found all the staff very pleasant.

As others have already pointed out, rude staff (at least one of them - old woman with curly blond hair while the rest of the staff I spoke with seemed polite). But a great place to stay overall. I would definitely have given a four or five star if not for that old blondie.

Online reservation process worked smoothly, staff was extremely helpful when our GPS directions went haywire! Our site was roomy and had a private feel with shade trees providing buffers from neighbors. The park is convenient to local attractions and major highways for easy access to Coldfoot.

Rivers Edge is a nice campground. Great location beside the river. The spots aren’t huge but better than some we’ve stayed at. If you want to use the showers and laundry it’s a bit pricey. I upped my review to a 4 star. I’d give it a 31/2 star.

Spent a week in our fifth wheel in a river- side site. First of all, the $5/nite extra to stay on the river made our stay. We had extra living space in the front of our rig. Non-river sites were very close with their neighbors… with the slide out, outdoor living space was very limited. The park was conveniently located to tourist attractions & necessity shopping. Laundry facilities were adequate , WiFi was weak when the campground was full, & our cable never worked during our stay despite us asking for assistance. Office staff was generally apathetic ( all but one lady)-they acted as though providing customer service was such…effort. This park caters to caravans which made up at least half of their patrons during our stay.

Listen to the reviews about RUDE, NASTY STAFF and don’t stay here. We were told we could pick a spot late at night and pay the next day. We weren’t given a specific time we had to pay by and we were woken up by repeated, loud banging on our door even after we said “one moment” while we were trying to get decent enough to answer the door. She also unplugged our RV from power and proceeded to yell at us once we opened the door and said we have to check in by a certain time, which we were never told! Isn’t that what camp hosts are here for? To do rounds in the morning and collect payment from those who arrived late? She acted as though we were this huge inconvenience and in the wrong when we didn’t know any better. It was truly obnoxious and aggressive.

Very average - plus staff with an attitude. The park is just ok - sites not kept up and they could use new bathrooms.Front desk staff has a “you should bd glad I have made time to help you” attitude. When I walked up to check in I got a snotty - “can I help you” on tone of why are you bothering me.Second interaction - walk up to desk - she is in the middle of looking at paperwork - sees me standing there and spends another 30 seconds putting check marks and highlights on this paper before she decides I’m not going to go away and she has to help me.We had just come from Tok RV - awesome attitude- this was the complete opposite.

Extremely rude customer service! My husband and I make numerous trips to Fairbanks from Anchorage throughout the summer months due to our kids softball and baseball tournaments. Last summer, I had reserved an RV spot at Rivers Edge RV Park & Campground but plans changed and our daughter's team decided to stay in the hotel. When I called to cancel my reservation the woman was extremely rude and nasty to talk with. She ended the call with, "Do us a favor, and the next time you come to Fairbanks, don't stay here!" I was blown away, the first place in my life I have ever been 86ed from is somewhere I have never even set foot in!Fast forward to this year... Being an Alaskan and wanting to support local business, I decided to give it another try. I put in a request to reserve an RV spot for my husband when he takes our son to a tournament in June. Nowhere on their website does it mention anything about RV length and site regulations. I put in a request to book a full hook-up for our 26ft camp trailer. Yesterday an employee from Rivers Edge RV Park & Campground called my husband, and essentially yelled at him over the length of our camper. "You won't fit, you can't stay in the spot you are requesting, you can't back up into that site!" (Again, as I said, nowhere online does it state anything about RV lengths and site regulations) When my husband tried to ask questions, she'd cut him off, just repeating the same thing over and over. "Don't call our office, it is closed. Look at your phone. Use the number on your phone to get ahold of us. You know how to do that, right?" She was just down-right mean.We are disappointed in the costumer service we've received, so much so I decided to write this review (my first ever). As a host of a vacation rental, I would never treat my guests the way we have been treated. Two strikes and we have learned our lesson, we will make sure to always stay somewhere else when we visit Fairbanks.

Great place to stay. Close to town, but not in the bustle. Leave your window open and fall asleep to the sound of the river. Just a few miles from Exit Glacier. Great play area for the kids. Showers are free, which is nice.

We thought it was a nice campground, those who complained about the dogs next door and game room need to remember what camping is.No need to bring it all with you if you're trying to get away from it all.Great staff, views, and access.

Stayed at this campground for our trip to Alaska, overall it was an amazing experience. The views are by far the best of any campsite in Alaska. The amenities are all close by and the sites are spacious. Half of the sites do not have sewer included but they do have a dump station, but if you’re staying more than a few days it is inconvenient. The wifi reception is low, but it is the best compared to any other campsites around, the cell reception was low but worked! The dog kennel next door is the only downfall to it, the dogs are barking at various times of the day and night, so if youre near the tent/cabin area you will have to live with it. The staff was super friendly and the store was big with lots of choices. It is very close to all the busy areas of Seward, and very convenient.

We’ve lived here for 25 years, have camped all over, and believe that this is the nicest campsite in AK. The views are amazing, it’s quiet (the complaints about the dog kennel are not warranted), it has huge sites, no bugs and all the amenities. Each site has full hook ups including sewer. The cell signal is strong; and for those poor review about the WiFi signal being poor? You’re in AK. Stay in the lower 48 if that’s what matters to you. It’s clean, spacious and the hosts are great. Our new favorite spot to stay.

The room appeared to be an after-thought. It was very sparsely decorated (1 small wind chime on a wall). All the other walls were bare making the room unwelcoming. The nightstand was a cheap, plastic drawer you would find at a dollar store. There was black mold growing on one of corners in the bathroom. Water leaked into the bathroom from either the window or somewhere else because there was a puddle behind the toilet. The bed was old and uncomfortable with a very used appearing quilt. The room was definitely not worth the price I paid. The quality of the room is what you would expect from a 1 star roadside motel.

When we arrived at the park, we were impressed with the cleanliness, and the quiet, great facilities and stuff in good condition. Bummer paying $4 for a shower, but it was much nicer than in town. However, we filled up our water bottles and topped off our water tank. Hours later we pulled out our water, took a big drink each and then spit out and coming close to vomiting. The water had a foul chemical taste. Later, we checked other water bottles, all the same foulness. I called to let them know about it and the owner? basically said it wasn't their fault, that they filter etc. i was letting them know so that no one ended in the hospital. Sure didn't expect her response. So my warning--check your water there so you won't get sick and have to drain your water system.

We stayed at the park for 6 nights while visiting Denali. It is an ideal location - out of "glitter canyon" as the locals refer to the busy area near the entrance to the park. And nicer than the other parks which were in "glitter canyon". Not far away, this park is only 10-15 minutes from the entrance of Denali. The park was fairly quiet, though being right on the Parks Highway, there was some road noise. The park has a nice small store and great laundry facilities with newer machines - and they were all working! Sites are tight. We were backed right up to a hill - which was OK, and struggled to fit the truck in next to the picnic table and still have room to walk through. But it worked. There were a couple caravans there when we were - for part of the time. They were crowded in too with their large motor homes and tow vehicles. Made the roads narrow. Nice area with some trails to stretch your legs. Friendly, helpful staff. AT&T worked great.

We loved Denali RV Park! Cleanest facilities of the four places we stayed in Alaska. Great location and jumping off point for Denali hikes. Great little trail behind the campground that was nice for stretching our legs as well. Good offerings at the gift shop, and friendly staff. We used the community grill and it was convenient!

Do not make the reservation at this motel! They'll charge 50% for deposit right after the bookings even you choose to pay when check in. I made the reservation more than 2 months before the check in date and found out that I had to cancel the trip 2 days after the bookings. They declined to refund my money after Expedia talked to the Motel. It's a trap. The phone number they provided is not reachable. Not sure if they did it on purpose. This kind of motel should be delisted from the Expedia to avoid the loss for other customers.

Pioneer Park

2300 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99701

Pioneer Park is similar to the Long Creek Trading Post in that it is not a typical campsite. It is more of an open-space lot with room for RVs, which might be perfect for you if you are on a low-key trip and you’re looking to save some money. No reservations are required at this Fairbanks, Alaska, campground.

What a great place to visit, shop and eat. I've only explored a little of it, bit what I found has been delightful. Cute shops, especially the ones with handmade items. The soulvaki place was amazing. Great prices too! Had ice cream that was delicious. This is a wonderful place to just wander around and enjoy the lovely fairbanks summer.
