BEWARE: The upside of being able to park so close to Manhattan was extraordinarily offset by the extortionist behavior of the staff, who insisted on charging a $40 fee for not signing out on a piece of paper near their entry/exit when we left the campground. Overshadowed an otherwise perfectly acceptable city-environment RV park. We left (checkout of) the campground early in the morning, there were no staff around, and were not asked to sign any document. Around midday someone from the campground called to see if we had in fact checked out, and we responded affirmatively, thanking them for the call. But to our surprise they said that because we had not signed the exit paper, they would be charging us a $40 fee immediately on the credit card which we had used to pay for the overnight stay. They were not able to tell me what the fee was for, only that they "had the right to charge the amount to my credit card". I asked if I could discuss the matter with the campground management, but the staff member told me that they didn't release the name of the manager and that I should call back. Subsequent calls were quickly ignored by the office staff, who simply said that they were just following instructions to quickly charge any unsuspecting patrons who didn't know or forgot to sign the exit paper. When I asked if I could come back in to sign their form, they said "yes you may, but we will charge the amount in any case." THIS IS A RACKET. If you decide to stay at this park, beware of the lack of normal and fair treatment, and BE SURE TO SIGN THE EXIT FORM.

This was a great place even for dry camping. Is a bit on the expensive side even if you dry camping. The view of the statue liberty was pretty good. 24 gate access and security. Within walking distance of downtown New Jersey. And to the subway witch it can take you to New york. The park is not great. Is the Location is the best. To access to both cities without using your truck, especially if you drive a dually 😆 is super sketchy to drive around N.Y. 😆.

It's a very convenient place if you're in an RV and plan on visiting NY. Spots are a tad tight but, it is what it is. Water taxis readily available. Water and electric, but you have to use a dump spot to empty your waste tanks. If you're going g in expecting a parking lot with water and electricity, you're good.

Had a great time! Attended birthday party for close friend. Yacht was clean, well lit and the service was excellent. Beautiful views of the NY skyline and the Statue of Liberty from the Hudson river. Will definitely return!

Pros:Staff were really nice. Incredibly helpful and great with suggestions.Close to public transport and NYCShowers were a good size and had good water pressure.Cons:It's a parking lot. Tight spaces. No room to relax outside, but some managed anyways. On Saturday nights the restaurant on site turns into a nightclub with loud thumping bass until midnight. Could not sleep.Shower water was very hot. The largest stall only had one water control instead of separate for hot and cold. The water was either COLD or SCALDING. I always used a smaller shower for that reason. Not as nice, but I got to keep my skin.
👍🏼= Proximity to NY area. Very active nightlife. Gated and secure. Price isn't bad for NY area. 👎🏼Spots getting in and out with RV are VERY tight. Drive through active city area to access. 😬 May be an issue with bigger RVs or haulers.

We just got home from our stay at Liberty Harbor RV Park and can not say enough wonderful things about it. The location is phenomenal. The staff are super helpful and friendly, especially Melanie who is the nicest person ever! The bath house was super clean! They give you a packet of very helpful information when you check in with directions on how to leave. Follow the directions on their website for how to get there. Have fun!

This is a large park but a lot of the sites are annual sites and only a few sites have sewer connections. The sites are first come first served. The roads within the park are all dirt and the sites are dirt as well. This makes it kind of messy and muddy when it rains. Connections are at the back of the site and in some cases on the passenger side. There is a dumping service that is provided twice a week for free and there are three dump stations. The park has a lot of trees. This is good for shade but it makes things a bit tight at times when trying to get into a site. AT&T service was good but Verizon is weak. There is a lake in the park, a pool, and other activity areas which was nice. It is also close to the beach areas. We were in the park over Memorial Day weekend with a few days on either side. The park seemed pretty full. We were in a corner site and there was traffic all the time. Cars, trucks, and golf carts. There were lots of celebrations going on and that made it pretty loud in the park often way past the 11PM quite time mark. There were also people using leaf blowers and chain saws to add to the sound mix. This seems to be more of a family-oriented park so there were lots of kids and they seemed to roam around quite a bit on bikes and golf carts. People seemed to do what they wanted here regardless of the rules and the staff at the park really don’t monitor the situation. It was quieter after Memorial Day after most of the people left. This park has a lot of potential. The woodsy setting is nice but it really needs to be more structured. They need gravel on the sites and they need to create actual parking pads. They could also benefit a lot from paving the roads or putting down gravel.

We loved this campground. Was it perfect? No. But we found little to actually complain about. Our cabin was immaculate and in great condition. Everyone who passed us greeted us with a smile and wave, which was nice. The water park was not opened the entire time we were here, but we also know it’s a staffing issue, which is beyond anyone’s control when you are in a beach town that relies on college kids and it is the end of the season. But I am giving 5 stars because the staff were all so nice. At check in I expressed some concerns that I had read about on Google reviews. I honestly anticipated that the staff would respond with attitude based off of reviews and I found it to be the exact opposite. They genuinely listened and even went so far as to call housekeeping (who was cleaning it when we arrived) and confirm our cabin had no issue. Tammy, who works the front desk is an absolute sweetheart. She really made us feel like our concerns were heard and made sure we were satisfied, even asking us the next day when she saw us if everything was up to par, when she could have pretended like she didn’t see us and drove right by. There was another lady, in the office who also was incredibly nice and went above and beyond to make sure we had no complaints, who also saw us at a later date and made sure to ask if we were happy with our cabin. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but the staff is what made us feel like this is a place we gladly would visit again

This is our favorite campground to go to. Very family friendly and clean. I love that all the sites are three point (water, sewer and electric). The staff are very friendly and you quickly build friendships. We have formed some wonderful friendships with other campers as well. The sites are a nice size, some larger than others. The handicapped sites require you to pre-register for them, to assure they are available for those who need them. The campground is far enough off the road that you don't hear traffic. The campground is gated for security. There is a gameroom, store, beach, pool, and hot tub. There is also a great water park for the kids! There is mini golf, fishing (catch and release) and boating. The campground is also located near stores and tourist attractions, allowing for numerous day trips. This is truly a great campground!

Such a great place to relax with the the whole family. The pool is decently sized, and so is the mini water park. Just wish the person manning the kayak check out actually let us check one out. Not sure why you're there if you can't let anyone check them out.

Place needs better understanding on how to run a buisness. Bed bugs in cabins, Pool water is over chlorinated. The lifeguards act like there management when in reality they are a group of teenagers and just staff. The "security" is disrespectful and will try to fight guest. Stay away from this place. Thousand trials should remove them. If this place wants to know more on how to make a safe and fun environment for guest please start with your staff and make them accountable for there actions. This place has gone down hill. Been here multiple times in 5 years and this year is by far my last.

We stayed here for about 10 days, and enjoyed it. Has a real campground feel (in the transient sites). Nice pool, great hiking/biking paths, beautiful lake.

We stayed here 5/22/22-6/12/22. After a year and a half on the road, this was one of our favorite campgrounds.Upsides:There is literally a lake with a beach. It seems like they clean and smooth the beach every morning. The lake water was warm. Bret swam in it multiple times. Our friends went fishing and caught some small fish. On the weekends, during that season, there was also a bounce house by the beach. There is a nice path that goes around the lake, probably about 3/4 of a mile long. There are also lots of interconnecting trails in the woods. They also have a nice pool area, and the pool is large. They also have a gym. If you know Bret, you know he likes to work out. He says it was one of the nicer campground gyms that he has seen, which included elliptical machines, a few weight machines, and dumbbells that went up to 30 pounds. They have a couple other regular things such as a store and library. The sites are large and clean. Ours was mostly dirt. Trees were spread out enough and pruned, so they weren’t a problem.Internet was amazing with our cell phones on Verizon, and our hotspots on Cricket & T-Mobile. It was probably THE best internet we've had on the road.Downsides:There were a couple of times that we went to the gym or store and they were closed, during their regular hours. The children’s water park which is separate from the regular pool, was closed when we were there, which included over Memorial Day weekend. It was supposed to reopen at that time like most places, but it never did, at least while we were there. That was a bummer because it was one of the main reasons we went there. The regular pool area and lake were still open though.Horseflies - There are places around the park, especially on the path around the lake, unfortunately, where the horseflies can be relentless. All together it was one of the best campgrounds, if not THE best, that we’ve been to. We would definitely stay there again. While you're in the area, go check out the Cape May Zoo!
Well, I gave the owners a week.. yes 1 week to help us out before i wrote this review .. cabin h9 has bed bugs .. my daughter was bit up and I had to FIGHT to get a new cabin .. after less than 1 day there .. maintenance said it’s not their problem when we called them …Multiple calls , tweets etc went unanswered as this DUMP doesn’t care ..My daughter spent all weekend in the cabin because she ceases so bit up .. legs , back, face , feet , etc .WATER PARK closedBED BUGSRipped floorsLoose door knobsBroken air conditioningFind somewhere else go … this place is a complete dump ..As a business owner myself this is NOT how you treat a guest .. and now you will learn the hard way …let the fun begin ….I bet I’ll get your attention soon …..

This place after checking it out and meeting the property manager deserves a zero star review. I never write reviews but this experience should be heard. I called to inquire about a seasonal site I was informed there was two spots available, I went to tour the grounds and liked itI asked a few questions and1. The management staff told me there will be staffing issues for the water park (the water park is nothing special) / pool area ($7200 for a season is a lot if you can’t staff the park)2. I still was interested and moved forward with a background check application (I’m a real estate agent my back ground is clean ) . I got a call a few days later and was told the site is rented to someone else3. I asked about the second site and yup you guessed it the site was rented to someone elseWhat was the motive here I’m not sure at all however the manager Erica seems shadyBeware and make sure you like the place and the people before you commit $7200.00The campground right next door is a few thousand less and the only difference is the water park that doesn’t have people to run it!

We are Elite-Thousand Trails members and will 100% NEVER return to this campground ever again. We arrived yesterday to be told that there were no sites with sewer available, but that 'most people are leaving in the morning,' and were advised to get up and move to a septic site tomorrow. After trying to cram our 38' travel trailer around their very narrow roads, and trying to locate a spot (90% of the spots are for annual campers-who actually take up three or four sites--this is NOT updated on their map, btw), we found one nestled in trees. Fine. We backed in. This morning, husband wakes up and goes to find a spot--he finds one! Then, we hitch up and move, only to have a nightmare getting our rig out without side swiping trees. By the time we were out of the predicament (and with a ton of screaming on husband and I's side), all of the sewer sites were already taken. We called the front desk, and someone by the name of maybe Hazel (?) answered. She was incredibly rude, and told us that there was nothing she could do to help (despite the fact that we had been given a map of available sites the afternoon prior). We finally were able to find a spot with the help of our very friendly neighbors, but of course it doesn't have septic. We tried to book another campground, but everywhere was already booked, unfortunately. After we were set up, Husband went to the front office to notify them of our site change and, after standing around for a few minutes while the office ladies jabbered away, was rudely asked "Can we help you?" He let them know our new site number, but they told him that they would not be able to communicate that to the guard. He was advised he needed to drive up there and tell them.On top of this, the showers, which seem to have been completely remodeled, have black mold on the shower curtains. It's like they renovated everything but left the same shower curtains.I honestly have no idea how this park is endorsed by Thousand Trails. The service, layout, and employees are absolutely horrible. If you drive anything larger than a 20', or want to be a permanent annual camper, don't bother coming to this glorified mobile home court.

Great pool and awesome employees. Only down fall is . People mess up the bathrooms and are slobs. It a shame for the people that have to clean it up. But over all great place

It's okay. Staff were friendly for the most part. My things about this place is that it's mostly seasonal sites. Very few sites and cabins available for non-seasonal campers. The seasonal people are not friendly. The roads are dusty and can really only fit 1 car and maybe a golf cart in certain areas. Be careful though the people on the golf carts don't fallow the traffic rules aka the speed limit, but they do complain to staff if you go over it by just a few. Kids here have no adult supervision.Overall wouldn't recommend!

Roads and sites are very small and almost impossible to maneuver with a large 5th wheel. After driving around for 45 minutes and asked park employee for help but, received very little help we found a site but, in doing so would of taken two sites in order for slides to open due to all the trees and crowed site. I called the ranger station and was told the manager was on his way but, after 30 minutes no one showed up !!! We left and drove the 5 hours home to spend our vacation in the driveway
